Box Description

Interior view of China Box with interior tray and drawers.

This chest was inspired by a box I saw on my travels in China – hence the name China Box.  The chest has a stationary tray with compartments at the top of the box plus two removable drawers with no compartments. (Please note that the box pictured here varies slightly from the above description.)

View of the top of the chest.

The interior of this chest is lined in black linen throughout.  I used solid brass hardware on the box, as well as wooden molding to frame the bottom of the box.

The exterior dimensions of the box are approximately: 9.5″ long by 8.5″ wide by 6″ deep.  The interior tray is 8.5″ long by 6.5″ wide by 1 3/4″ deep.

Interior dimensions of the drawers are approximately 8 3/8″ long by 6 3/4″ wide by 1 1/2″ deep.

The chest is a special order item and sells for $175.00 plus shipping.
