This is a one-of-a-kind chest featuring a lovely hand-screened Japanese paper depicting white cranes and green trees on a gold background. The chest has a top compartmented tray and two removable drawers underneath. The box is finished with dark green linen lining, brass hardware and wooden molding on the bottom.

Chest with Tray in White Cranes Flying over Gold Fields and Green Trees Paper with Lid Open
(Please note that the box pictured to the right varies from the box described here. I have added the drawers since this picture was taken.
The exterior dimensions of the box are approximately: 9.5″ long by 8.5″ wide by 6″ deep. The tray is 8.5″ long by 6.5″ wide by 1 3/4″ deep.
The picture on the right shows a removable interior tray. I now make the box with a stationary tray with compartments on top and two removable drawers without compartments underneath.
Interior dimensions for the drawers are: 8 3/8″ long by 6 3/4″ wide by 1 1/2″ deep.
The chest is a special order item and costs $175.00.
