This is a one-of-a-kind chest with drawers featuring a stunning Japanese paper depicting cranes flying over greens trees on a black background.
Box Description
The box was inspired by a box I saw on my travels in China – hence, the name China Box. The chest has a stationary tray with compartments at the top of the box, plus two removable drawers with no compartments.
Interior dimensions of the drawers are approximately 8 3/8″ long by 6 3/4″ wide by 1 1/2″ deep.
The interior of the chest is lined in black linen throughout. I used solid brass hardware on the box, as well as wooden molding to frame the bottom of the box.
The exterior dimensions of the box are approximately: 9.5″ long by 8.5″ wide by 6″ deep.
