A beautiful map of medieval Venice (1575) is featured on the top of the box. The front of the box displays other artwork on this early map including the Doge at the time and his courtiers. The box sides include a view of the Arsenale with shipbuilding in process.
The verso of the top displays an historic 17th century map of Venice in a very different style. These prints and their accompanying art work are beautifully displayed on this large format box. The box is bound in black Italian linen inside and out.
Outside dimensions of the box are: 15″ long by 10″ wide by 3″ deep.
