Folio Box with Two Early Historical Prints of New York City

This large folio box showcases two historic prints of early New York City.

Box Description

An early view (1736) of the British sailing into New York Harbor to occupy Fort George depicts a significant moment in New York City’s history as it transitioned from its early dutch heritage to the British takeover in the 18th century is featured on the top of the box.

The verso of the top displays an historic print of the first city plan of Manhattan laid out in 1766.  These prints and their accompanying art work are beautifully displayed on this large format box.  The box is bound in black Italian linen inside and out.

Outside dimensions of the box are: 15″ long by 10″ wide by 3″ deep.
